Ox-Eye Daisy

Ox-eyed Daisy

Bit of yellow here, too! Ox-eye Daisy is an introduced plant in North America, but it’s so widespread we forget that!

  1. Pretty! it’s discouraging how many plants are non-native that end up being invasive. In fact, I read in my e-magazine “Birds and Blooms” that there is an online tool for finding plants native to one’s zip code. Unfortunately, I just pulled up the website (nwf.org/Garden-For-Wildlife/About/Native-Plants.aspx) and the tool is not yet available. I’ll keep looking periodically.

    • That would be handy. A local nature center may be able to provide a list as well. Best of luck in finding them. You remind us we should post a photo of one of the worst again–Mile-a-Minute.

Drop us a nut to find!
