You don’t see this too often–a blooming Indian Cucumber Root, Medeola virginiana. The little thin things on the top, with their turned back green petals, are the flower!
It’s a member of the lily family–note the leaves in sets of three–found in the shade of the forest floor, so mixes in with other green vegetation you humans may not see as well as we squirrels.
Some humans do hunt this plant for its edible root. We don’t recommend that because of course it kills the wildflower, but also, please DO NOT use our mention of this to try to identify any wild edibles. Know your plants through using multiple resources before eating anything!
