Butterflies are out

Well, it has been a month of warmth now, so we should be seeing many of those nectar feeders!

Tiger Swallowtail

This Tiger Swallowtail isn’t one to sit still, but the bright colors sure get him noticed! Perhaps that’s why so many of them are missing their ‘tails’–the birds see them, too!

  1. I saw a tiger swallowtail here surprisingly early but haven’t spotted the like again, unfortunately. They are all so wonderful to see. And it’s amazing how ratty their wings might look even as they seem unaffected.
