I think we have a winner here for “Q” day on our Blogging A to Z Challenge.

Quail wildlife statue

That is, if you human readers can imagine a little top knot on a wildlife statue that might have been imagined as a chicken by someone.

We squirrels see a quail! *nods and flicks tail*

    • Hi Darla. Usually in February or march, and then if it’s been a good year for acorns and there is plenty of food around, a second litter might be born in early summer–June to July. There is still hope you might see some!
