A clever kind of planter

Hickory and I ran across this planter and had to show Miz Flora. She thought it was fabulous.

Flower stump

She ran all around the top. “No plastic!” She twitched her tail. “No plastic pot to stick around forever after it breaks and the humans don’t know what to do with it!”

Miz Flora ran around the top some more. “And no fertilizer, after a bit that is. The roots of the plants can break down the log as they grow, continuing to get minerals into the soil.”

She perched and smelled the salvia. “And they chose purple ones.”
