Lots of Mushrooms

Hickory and I took a run out to the golf course the other day and stopped by one of our favorite eating stumps, only to find it almost surrounded by mushrooms.

Miz Flora said the rain we had a week ago brought them out. She thinks they are a type of Oyster mushroom, but as we have told you human readers many times, we are squirrels, so don’t rely on us for identification of plants. We didn’t taste them, just leap over to have a gnaw on a few old acorns we keep stashed nearby. From up top, this was our view:
