It’s gotten colder and we squirrels need more to eat to keep our fat and stay warm. Hickory and I were digging around in a backyard’s leaves for a few acorns we’d buried when suddenly raindrops started falling around us. Then just as suddenly they stopped.
“What was that,” I asked him glancing out of the yard. “The skies are clear.”
He looked up and laughed. “I think we have some friends who know we’re hungry.”
“Come on, lets find those sunflower seeds!”
